The Cortland WF 444 Clear Intermediate Fly Line combines the proven performance of Cortland's famous 444 series with a clear intermediate design for controlled subsurface trout fishing.
Designed to sink steadily beneath the surface, the Clear Intermediate allows anglers to present buzzers, nymphs, wet flies and lures through the upper and middle layers of the water while maintaining excellent control over depth and retrieve speed.
The line's clear construction provides a discreet presentation below the surface, making it particularly useful when fishing clear water or targeting pressured and wary trout. Rather than introducing a strongly coloured fly line into the taking zone, the clear profile offers a more subtle approach.
Its Weight Forward (WF) taper provides efficient rod loading and positive turnover, making it comfortable to cast whether you're fishing a single fly, a team of buzzers or larger lure patterns.

For sinking lines Cortland have the type three which sinks at 3 inch per second therefore the equivalent of a DI3 and the type six at sink rate 6 inches per second, is the equivalent of a DI6.
